Camden Maxwell, owner of Emerson Events, was born and raised in Oklahoma City. Besides planning and designing events, Camden enjoys traveling, interior decorating, DIY projects and charity work. She is on several non profit boards, including: The Oklahoma Messages Project, which she is board President. The Messages Project serves the children of incarcerated parents with a literacy and reading program. They video the parents in prison reading bedtime stories to their children, copy the recording to a DVD, and mail it to the child with a copy of the book. Freedom Oklahoma, a statewide political advocacy organization in Oklahoma that advocates for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender rights. The Winds House, a local non-profit that provides supportive housing to people with HIV/AIDS. She’s also passionate about giving to and supporting local no-kill animal shelters and organizations. Camden was honored as one of OKC Biz Magazine’s “40 Under 40″ for her work around the community and her achievements as a business owner. Camden has been in the wedding industry since 2006. Details are her specialty when it comes to floral design and details are key to plan a spectacular event. Design, wedding planning, event planning, flowers…whatever it may be, if you are looking for something special, you are in good hands.
